Mother’s Day 2026 Greeting Poster – Yabous Cultural Center

On International Women’s Day, we celebrate Palestinian women in all their roles, their strength, their resilience, and their enduring presence that safeguards the land and plants hope in future generations. To every steadfast woman, every mother who protects and embraces, and every girl who carries the dream of freedom and a better future, our deepest love and respect.

In the design, wildflowers intertwine, anemones, poppies, saffron, iris, dandelion, and tyoun, moving in harmony with the Palestinian sunbird, forming a living image that reflects both the land and the woman as one.

Each flower carries its own symbolism. The anemones and poppies embody both delicacy and strength; their roots are firmly grounded in the earth, just like the roots of Palestinian women, while their red petals beat like a living heart that guards memory. Saffron represents patience and beauty that require care, much like a woman’s daily life, where threads are gathered and woven into a fragrance that illuminates the space. Iris and dandelion reflect the ability to grow and bloom even in the harshest conditions, holding resilience and beauty together. Tyoun and bitterness symbolize both hardship and healing, reflecting a woman who knows struggle yet transforms it into strength and giving. Sunflower points to steadfastness and the instinct to turn toward the light, like the heart of a Palestinian woman that chooses the right path despite adversity.

The Palestinian sunbird adds a sense of freedom and movement, reminding us that a woman is capable of flight, yet knows when to shelter and protect, like a mother who holds her child close, offering safety before they face the world. The composition that brings together the woman, the horse, and the bird reflects a balance of mind, heart, and spirit, between deep roots in the earth and open skies of possibility, between resilience and freedom, between protection and release.

Every botanical element, every bird, and every gesture of the woman carries a message: life despite hardship, beauty despite challenges, strength and tenderness intertwined, and hope that does not break. Every flower, every color, every detail reflects the bond between the woman and the land, her heritage, and the generations she nurtures and teaches.

Every year, you are presence. Every year, you are strength and resilience. Every year, you are continuous giving, to us, and to all who carry the land in their hearts and protect it with their hands and spirit.
