Open Call Poster to Join the Adult Choir
Yabous Cultural Center & The National Conservatory of Music – 2026

The Poster was designed by Nadeem Mazen while working As Exhibitions Curator and Projects Coordinator at Yabous Cultural Centre

This design draws its spirit from the imagery and visual language of the song “Shireen” by Banat Al-Quds, a choir emerging from the National Conservatory of Music and composed of more than forty female artists from across Palestine, particularly Jerusalem.

The inspiration stems from their harmonious presence, reflecting what this choir could become: a collective space for voice, and an extension of a mature artistic experience، aspiring to echo the success of Banat Al-Quds, whose journey has spanned over a decade.

At the heart of the design, the city reveals itself: we see Jerusalem, we see Palestine through the artists at the center of the scene, encircled by the walls of Jerusalem, as if they are an echo of its history and guardians of its memory through their art and voices. Stone intertwines with the greenery of the land, which awaits its artists to bring it to life, to create upon it, and to reshape the story anew.

This is not merely a poster inviting people to sing, it is a call to belong. It does not simply announce a choir; it opens a horizon for a collective voice that rediscovers place and grants it a life that is sung.
