“Ta’ al-Taneth” Exhibition – Third Edition, 2025

Curated by Nadeem Mazen at the Yabous Cultural Center, the exhibition was held at the Mahmoud Darwish Salon, Yabous Cultural Center, 10 Zahra Street, Jerusalem.

This year’s edition features female artists from across Palestine and from diverse backgrounds, coming together to present a contemporary portrait of Palestinian art as expressed by Palestinian women today. The central theme of the exhibition is the Palestinian woman artist, through their works, we explore their artistic practices and aim to create a space that connects the Jerusalem and wider Palestinian public with these artists and the broader art community.

This year’s poster draws inspiration from previous editions of “Ta Al-Taneth” and the richness of colors that characterized them. It presents a vibrant visual mosaic composed of elements and colors from past works featured in the exhibition, expressing the diversity of participants over the years.

The exhibition offers an opportunity to discover several emerging artists showcasing their work for the first time in Jerusalem and at the Yabous Cultural Centre, alongside artists who participated in previous editions. Together, their works reflect the current artistic landscape of Yabous and, more broadly, the Palestinian art scene.

“Ta Al-Taneth” was first launched in March 2022 in response to the real need for a space that highlights Palestinian women artists, sheds light on the challenges they face, and celebrates both their artistic and personal journeys. Since its inception, the exhibition has become an annual platform that explores topics related to the Palestinian woman artist and features a wide range of artistic media reflecting the diverse backgrounds, concepts, and schools of thought represented by the participating artists, together forming a rich visual narrative through the lens of women artists.

The exhibition aims to introduce both local and international audiences to the creativity of Palestinian women artists. While it was originally tied to Women’s Month in March, this celebration is no longer confined to a specific time. The exhibition has now broken free from one of its founding constraints and can take place at any time of the year.

With no fixed theme and no defined labels, our focus remains the Palestinian woman artist, creating a broader space for artistic expression and diversity.
