“Dhahir Batin/inside out” Exhibition by Artist Hasan Sandouka – First Solo Exhibition

The 21st century is a time of rapid technical and technological development. Humanity’s brilliant inventions have transformed all aspects of life, economic, social, and beyond. Among the most impactful changes that reshaped the world is the internet, which, supported by social media platforms, turned the globe into a small village, granting access to information in just a matter of seconds.

But does this positive face not also hide a negative, concealed one?

This exhibition takes you on an exploratory journey to reveal the effects of this darker side, an intruder that enters every home uninvited, invading the minds of youth and children: pornographic websites.

The artworks focus on the medium of portraits, combined with staged scenes that serve as visual reactions to the impact of such content. They reflect the inner struggles faced daily by its victims on both psychological and societal levels. Through complexity and challenge, the works seek to simulate what lies hidden in the human psyche, beneath the outward face we see, unveiling a theater between what is visible and what remains unseen.
