“Camp” Exhibition, Jerusalem Festival 2021 Exhibition, by Alaa Albaba

Curated by Nadeem Mazen at the Yabous Cultural Center, the exhibition was held at the Mahmoud Darwish Salon, Yabous Cultural Center, 10 Zahra Street, Jerusalem.

In these artworks, the artist reflects on how the camp is perceived from the outside, with the architecture portrayed through a unique perspective that highlights the personal relationship between the artist and the camp. The exhibition includes paintings and artworks from the “Camp” series, in which Alaa Al-Baba reimagines the camp through the details of horizontal architecture that reveal daily life within it. These works are inspired by the Al-Amari Refugee Camp in Ramallah.
