Why orange?
The United Nations designated the 16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence campaign, running from November 25 to December 10, and adopted the color orange as its symbol. Orange was chosen as a bright, optimistic color representing a future free from violence against women and girls. As the Secretary-General said: “Let’s make the world orange.”

لماذا اللون البرتقالي؟
خصصت الأمم المتحدة حملة 16 يوماً لمناهضة العنف القائم على النوع الاجتماعي ابتداءً من تاريخ 11/25 وحتى 12/10، واعتمدت اللون البرتقالي رمزاً للحملة باعتباره لوناً مشرقاً يمثل مستقبلاً خالياً من العنف ضد النساء والفتيات، بقول الأمين العام: "لنجعل العالم برتقالياً"
